Declaration of the Wildcat Anarchist Collective, June 2005 (as amended
July 2007).
Wildcat exists to promote and encourage moves towards an anarchist
society. That is, a society based on a network of communities formed
by voluntary agreements based on cooperation and respect for the
freedom of others.
We oppose all forms of oppression including sexism, racism,
patriarchy, colonialism, religious intolerance, heterosexism,
discrimination on the basis of sexuality, class structures, the
governing of one person by another and any other form of
authoritarianism that may turn up. We understand that many of these
forms of oppression are linked and work together to fuck us over.
We consider the class structure of society to be an important and
often ignored part of the oppressive capitalist and state structures
that now control the world, so one of our focuses is exposing and
opposing its existence.
We find both private capitalism and state rule creepy and they make us
shudder, so we support genuine resistance to authority, but are not
the slightest bit interested in those who seek to replace one form of
authoritarianism with another.
